Adult ADHD & Autism Assessments | Telehealth Australia

neuro-curious?

Do you function well in some areas of your life, but feel constantly confused or overwhelmed in others?

Do you often wonder why things are harder than they "should" be?

Have you built elaborate systems to stay organised, only to feel they collapse under pressure?

Are you questioning ADHD or Autism — but unsure whether your presentation “fits” common stereotypes?

Many adults seek assessment after years of quietly adapting, compensating, or second-guessing themselves.

They're tired of masking and trying to hold it all together.

They're often burnt out.

They're ready to step back and ask: What's really going on here?

My approach is designed to explore these questions with care, structure, and respect for complexity.

I offer ADHD and Autism assessments for adults across Australia via telehealth.

Comprehensive assessments range from $2,000–$2,500.

WHat makes Our assessments different?

My assessments are designed for adults seeking depth of understanding and clarity they can rely on.

Adult ADHD and Autism often present in nuanced and internally expressed ways. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent clinician, I am mindful of how many adults have developed coping strategies that make their struggles less visible — even to themselves.

My evidence-based evaluations are structured to look beyond surface impressions and stereotypes. I take the time to understand your developmental history, current functioning, and patterns across contexts.

Where relevant, intersecting influences such as trauma, anxiety, hormone changes, physical health conditions, or life transitions are thoughtfully considered as part of a broader understanding of your experience.

WHat our Assessments involve

 A comprehensive assessment typically includes:

  • Completion of online standardised self-report measures
  • Detailed clinical interview(s) exploring your developmental history
  • Exploration of how neurodivergent traits impact everyday functioning
  • Review of supporting documents and informant reports, where available
  • Structured diagnostic formulation using DSM-5-TR criteria
  • A feedback session to discuss findings and answer questions

Assessments are conducted via secure telehealth and are available to adults across Australia.

WHat YOU RECEIVE

Following your assessment, you will receive a comprehensive written report that provides a coherent understanding grounded in clinical evidence.

Your report includes:

  • Clear diagnostic findings (where criteria are met)
  • Transparent clinical reasoning
  • Consideration of intersecting or alternative explanations
  • Functional strengths and challenges
  • Guidance to support informed discussion with your GP or treating team

You will also attend a feedback session to review the findings together and ask questions.

investment

A comprehensive adult diagnostic assessment includes structured interviews, validated measures, detailed formulation, and a formal written report.

  • ADHD Assessment: $2,000

  • Autism Assessment: $2,250

ENQUIRE ABOUT ASSESSMENT

NOT SURE WHETHER A FULL ASSESSMENT IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Assessment Suitability Consultation (60 mins)

If you are uncertain whether a comprehensive assessment is the right next step, we can begin with a one-hour consultation.

This session provides space to explore your history and current questions in more depth. Together, we consider whether ADHD, Autism, or another explanation best accounts for your experiences, and whether proceeding to a full diagnostic evaluation would be clinically appropriate.

Fee: $300

If you proceed with a comprehensive assessment, this session forms part of your overall diagnostic process and is credited toward the total fee.

The consultation is optional. There is no obligation to continue beyond this session.

Common Questions Before Booking

Please reach us at admin@timetountangle.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No.

Medicare rebates do not apply to comprehensive diagnostic assessments or report writing.

Appointment availability varies depending on current demand. At present, assessment appointments are typically available within the month.

The assessment process usually involves one or two interview sessions, completion of standardised measures, and a feedback appointment. The written report is generally provided within four weeks of completing the assessment sessions.

Timeframes may vary slightly depending on scheduling and case complexity.

If diagnostic criteria are met, your report provides official documentation of diagnosis (e.g., ADHD and/or Autism), along with a structured summary of the clinical evidence supporting that conclusion. It can be used as formal evidence of diagnosis in workplace settings to support discussions about reasonable adjustments and accommodations under disability and anti-discrimination frameworks.

For NDIS applications, eligibility is determined by the NDIA based on their own, seemingly ever-changing thresholds and evidentiary standards. While a diagnostic report can accompany your Access Request, it is strongly recommended that you gather additional supporting evidence of permanent functional impairment. This often includes a Functional Capacity Assessment completed by an Occupational Therapist. Eligibility and acceptance into the NDIS cannot be guaranteed.

 A diagnosis is never guaranteed.

My role is not to confirm a pre-determined outcome, but to conduct a thorough, evidence-based evaluation and offer a professional opinion grounded in the available information and diagnostic criteria.

For some people, the assessment does lead to a formal ADHD or Autism diagnosis. For others, it may clarify that their experiences are better explained by different factors — such as trauma, anxiety, burnout, personality style, or life context.

Most people, regardless of the outcome, report that the process itself is valuable. A comprehensive assessment can provide:

  • Greater clarity about your cognitive and emotional patterns.
  • Language to describe your needs.
  • Insight into masking or coping strategies.
  • Recommendations for targeted support.

Even when a formal diagnosis is not made, people often leave with a more coherent understanding of themselves.

If you’re unsure whether a full assessment is the right step, you may prefer to begin with an Assessment Suitability Consultation (60 minutes), which you can book for yourself online here.

An assessment is focused on answering a specific question: do your experiences meet diagnostic criteria for ADHD, Autism, or another condition? The goal is clarity. It involves gathering developmental history, reviewing standardised measures, considering alternative explanations, and providing a structured written report outlining the reasoning behind any conclusions.

Therapy, on the other hand, is about ongoing support and growth. It focuses on strengthening self-understanding, mapping patterns, addressing limits, and building skills in a gradual way.

Some people simply want diagnostic clarity. Others choose to engage in therapy or structured follow-up sessions afterwards to work on specific challenges or goals. And some people decide they don’t need a formal diagnosis at all — they prefer to explore how their mind works and what they need through therapy over time. These are separate services, and we can talk through what feels right for you.

If you’ve been wondering for a long time whether ADHD or Autism might explain lifelong patterns, you don’t need to navigate that question alone. You’re welcome to begin with a consultation — or move directly to assessment when you feel ready.
